Cathy,
So great to hear that you are doing well, two years past surgery.
That is the operative word here, you are past the surgery and past the pain.
I believe I would be with you, three years post surgery, if I had two levels done instead of one.
Because of one doctor's belief that my L5/S1 was okay and that I was having referred pain at that level and not "real" pain, they (doctors) missed a "bad" disc.
I have a new insurance that I hope will pay for an ADR.
Unfortunately, I do not have the money to pay to go to Germany. It would put us in a bad position and I cannot do that.
I have waited two years for surgery on my L5/S1 and actually, about 2 1/2 years since I knew my other disc was bad.
I am looking forward to regaining my strength and my body back. I think it has been worth the two years wait and worth the wait for a new insurance. Like you, no payment on the first surgery. However, I made them fight me and they expended a lot of effort in their denials and they can go to you know where.
If I were you, I would continue to fight them.
So glad to hear how you are doing.
