    Cathy,

Sounds like you toured the town.
Wie geht's? (throw in a little German there).
I am sure you will be fine. It is almost midnight here so you are probably getting to the other side or there already.
Wish you the best on your recovery.

    Hey Everyone,

I just tried to get a hold of Cathy (actually her boyfriend Bob, as I know she is early in the recovery process). I tried the numbers she gave me for her Hotel and the Hospital, but they are busy...so I will try a little later this afternoon.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update.

Cathy sounds extremely well! (1st day post-op)

    Hey Everyone,

I just spoke with Cathy and she sounds incredible, especially for her 1st day post-op! She said the surgery went very well and that she is now on the infamous (my words) broth diet.

She wanted to extend thanks to everyone for their support and prayers. (I guess only the private rooms have Internet, so she said she is without it for the time being.)

BTW, jessmith07 had her surgery the same day as Cathy and they are rooming together post-op. Cathy said Jess is struggling a bit with the anesthesia post-op and her pain medication. It sounds like Jess was not heavily medicated before her surgery, and this is probably playing into her early post-op symptoms.

Congrats to both Cathy and Jess on finally being on the other side!!

Thanks for the update Justin on Cathy (and Jessica). Cathy, I am so glad you made it to the other side. The early days are very much a roller coaster, but just listen to your body and you'll do fine. We are here for those ups and downs. I can't wait to hear from you when you're able to post. We're praying for a speedy recovery for you. God bless.

I am so glad Cathy is doing well post op. Unfortunately, sounds like Jessica is having the post op I had, lots of uncontrolled pain. I hope she gets to feeling better soon. Can't wait to hear from both of them.

    Default On the Other Side!!

Yay, I am on the other side. I am 3 days post-op, and doing great. I left the hospital today, and am back at the hotel. Met with Dr. Bertagnoli this morning (along with Jess), who said we were both doing very well, and we could leave the hospital whenever we felt ready. It only took me a couple of hours, to assure that Bob was changing rooms (to one with the adjustable beds) today, to make the move.

I have been taking lots of notes, on everything I've experienced, and can't wait to share it all with you guys.

But for now, I just wanted to pop in, and say hi, and let you all know I am doing great. Thank you all for your caring, your prayers and well wishes, they have meant the world to me. I have really missed being in contact, without my laptop, but it was probably a good thing.

I am hoping I can get a better night's sleep here at the hotel. So for now, goodnight, and I hope you are all doing well.

PS. Jess is doing very well too, but she is remaining in the hospital until her flight to Paris on Sunday. If she had known that she could have been ready to leave earlier, she would have. But again, hopefully the extra rest will do her good.

YEAH! Cathy!! It's great to hear from you. Holy cow, discharged after 3 days? You don't mess around. Thanks for the post and we look forward to your updates.

Please give my -- our -- regards to Jess as well.

That sure is an early discharge from the hospital. Must've had some dancing opportunity to attend.

Congratulations for being on the other side. I am eager to hear about the whole sordid affair. Inquiring minds want to know.
