    Default Lumbar L4/L5 & L5/S1 M.A.S.T. TLIF, July 23rd 2009

I'll come back later to give a more official update, just wanted to pop in between pain and drugs right now.

I ended up staying a day longer in the hospital because of uncontrollable pain. I haven't had a chance to see my sugery notes yet, but apparentely there was something about a disc fused to my vertebrae or something that the doctors were amazed that I wasn't in more pain.

The first night there didn't help that they transfered me to my room from OR but not my pharmacy info, so I was without any pain meds for 3 hrs!!!! My husband was read to kill someone. They finally put me on percecets and a pump, didn't really help me much though. I still feel like I hurt a lot. Today is the first day I felt like getting on the comp for a few minutes. Not sure if anything I've put here will make any since tomorrow, but I had to get on a give an update and also get my therapy information for my PT.

I'll getting a little loopy again, so I'll write more later. Hope everyone is doing good.

Symara, welcome to the other side. You did mean July 23 instead of June, correct? Drugs will do that to you! I know the first few days can be very rough pain wise. I just hope you turn the corner soon on that. Take it slow. And remember we are here for you with any questions. Take care.
