Post Lumbar Maverick Artificial Disc Replacement and Laminectomy

    Hello:

I had surgery in Stenum, Germany in April of 2009. I had two Maverick stainless steel discs inserted at the L3 and L5 - S1 Level as well as a 360 degree fusion and laminectomy at the L4 - L5 level. Post surgery I had to learn how to walk normally with help of Physio and exercises. As of Jan. 24th. I stopped all pain medications. I do have to watch doing excessive bending over as this does set me back with some pain. I have some achyness in the back but am doing really well. It is wonderful to stand UP STRAIGHT!!

    Maverick,

This is great news! Welcome to the Spine Patient Society! When you get a chance, it would be great to read your spine history and see how far you have come.
