As for the shoes, go to a New Balance store if you can. Not a store that sells NB shoes but the New Balance store. They have a machine there to test your feet to see what your arch is like and where your pressure point are. Then they give you a selection of shoes that are designed for YOUR FEET! I used to buy for looks but ever since I went to that store my feet feel so much better and I buy nothing but New Balance. And with the nausea, Zofran and Phenergan are your bost options medication wise. Zofran has an orally dissolving tablet Zofran ODT which I think the generic is something like ondanersten ODT and works miracles. It tastes minty and works in minutes. I found next to that the phenergan supossitory's work best....just make sure to keep them refrigerated. The 1st time I got some (2 weeks ago) I needed it asap and the pharmacy hadn't refrigerated them. It left me confused as hell since it was a little aluminum foil wrapped bullet of lotionny goo that I didn't understand how to administer. It was very funny and embarrassing at the same time. But once their refrigerated they become solid and real easy to slip in. They are much more effective than oral medication and even help with post surgery constipation.

Best of luck to you....I won't wear any shoe other than New Balance now, except for my Rainbow's (flip-flop....I'm at the beach)

Did you have facet deg. before surgery?
