NeoDisc Surgery C4/C5 (2008), New Herniation at C6/C7 Hello everyone,
I am new to this site and wanted to say hi to everyone from the Carolina's. My name is Lisa and I am from NC. My problem is I had the NeoDisc surgery for c4/c5 two years ago. No pain for 6 to 8 months after surgery, but the pain is back and worst than before. New Mri show c6/c7 now.....so I don't know what to do anymore.....always in pain, some days are worst than others, like today it's a 10.

Sorry you have to be here but glad you are! Welcome to the Spine Patient Society!
Since you're no stranger to disc problems, you probably know the pros and cons of fusion v.s. ADR.
There are several members that will share their stories and research with you. I'm sure the experience will help all involved. We're here to help.

Re: New Member here from the Carolina's Thanks Bob. I hope to find more people who had the Neodisc, since there is little info about the disc itself. I am in the study. Had my surgery done in Raleigh NC by a great Dr. Before him I had saw two other dr.'s and they all three said surgery, then I found out about the neodisc from my third Doc. Went for the surgery not knowing if I was going to get the neo or fusion, but got the neo. Doc found large bone spur during surgery which took him a lot longer for my surgery. Over all the surgery was not that bad, but now I feel so much worst than before, so I hope to learn a lot here on this site.

Re: New Member here from the Carolina's Just replied on the other thread you commented on, so won't retype all. Disregard my last question on pain before and after, as I see here you said that it is worse post surgery than before. Welcome
31 years old- 1/06- In wreck with 18 wheeler at 25 years old; 6/06- Head on collision on Interstate, both wrecks other drivers fault. Numerous MRI's, PT, chiropractic, acupuncture, TENS therapy, massage therapy, facet injections, epidural injections, Nerve study, Discogram, confirms pain in L4/5, IDET, decompression, Bi-lateral neurotomy L3/4/5, denied by insurance twice, in Active L clinical trial, had surgery March 17, 2009 in Miami, FL- received Active L disc at 29 years old. Pain and medication free as of October 2010!Mommy to Emma- 8 years, Ava- 6 years & had baby Eli after ADR, via c-section on March 25, 2011, completely pain free still!
