I've been on it for a few years. I was prescribed it for nerve pain and it does help with it. I tolerate it pretty well but it does cause slight fogginess in the brain. not sure if it does anything for numbness but your doctor will be able to tell you if he thinks it will help.

I had a numb thumb after having my second daughter and it just would not go away. I ended up taking Lyrica (similar to Neurontin) for it and it was not numb anymore. Every time I would quit taking the Lyrica thinking the thumb was better, it would go numb again. It took about 4 years, but the nerve finally healed and I didn't need the medicine anymore.
