I have had my rt. SI joint fused but continue to have severe buttock pain, pain with sitting, and numbness in the rt. saddle area. I don't know whether to see someone who specializes in piriformis or someone who does pudendal nerve surgery. I have read that the piriformis can compress the pudendal nerve, or the pudendal nerve pain can irritate the piriformis muscle. Any experience with this problem?
