Left foot is still swollen, I'm told not to get to worried about this, but we will see. I was released to go back to work 4 hours per day, and still no driving, which is not a problem since I work out of my house. I will post again if there are any changes and after I see my surgeon on 8-23-2010.

thanks for all of the support.

Went to see the surgeon which my first visit with him since my surgery last Wednesday August 25th. All is good, I have been healing very well. The only problem I have is swelling in my calf and my foot, but no pain. Dr. did a Doppler while I was there to make sure no that I did not have any blood clouts. Everything was negative, thank God. Was release to go back to work and to begin to drive. I was also given a scrip to begin PT. Walking in a swimming pool and also therapy to reduce the swelling. I had my first session on Friday the 27th all good with the back. Drop foot is almost all gone which I had before the surgery, once we reduce the swelling in my foot and calf I feel I will be walking normally.

I want to thank the board, I follow a lot of what was said here and it sure helped with my recovery. One thing I would add is that if you have a house with the bedrooms upstairs I would rent a hospital bed for the first week, it sure helped me recover by not climbing the stairs and it helped my wife also so she didn't have to climb the stairs every five minutes checking on me.

    Again thats to the board.
