JK that is a good question.
When I had ADR surgery I wondered what was distraction pain, too.
I can describe it as a soreness in the legs and butt and it comes from replacing a reduced height disc with an ADR disc that is higher than your body has been used to.
I also got pain in one hip that was diagnosed as a bursitis.
So when the doctor distracts the disc that is the pain that comes from it.
Maybe Dave can describe what his distraction pain feels like.
