Hi Richard.
I guess we're recovering together. I had surgery on 11/30 to remove my spinal hardware. You sound like you're doing well, considering what your body just went through.
I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hello everyone! Two weeks ago I had a laminectomy with L4, L5 and S1 fusion. So far I have had little pain and no complications. I see my surgeon tomorrow for my first checkup. At age 74, I didn't know what to expect but I have kept up a positive attitude. Up untill the day before the surgery I was maintaining my 4-mile daily walk at a brisk pace, with the aid of some Tylenol. So far all my walking has been inside but I'm planning and outside venture tomorrow.
My name is Rich Deringer and I am a new member. I am in the process of scheduling spinal surgery--laminectomy with fusion of L4, L5, and possibly S1. I am 74 and have spinal stenosis with severe compression at the forementioned vertebra.
