    Hello SPS.

Sorry about my rant the other day.. I was very depressed, but I am sorry I went off on all of you like that. Nobody deserves to be treated that way and I've decided to put it all behind me if you can all let me.

What: My Upcoming M6-L with Mr. Boeree in the UK.

    When: November 3rd, 2010.

I will be writing up another post detailing absolutely everything about the surgery. I'm talking about pictures, numbers, names, times, drugs, pain levels, moods, and, did I mention pictures?

I leave October 31st for London.

I sure hope this will help people find answers.

    Gday Mike,

    I'm glad you're back posting.

I'm undergoing a similar procedure in the coming months, and there's a reasonable chance it could be with Boeree, if I go out of country. I'll have a phone consult with him soon. So looking forward to your reports and insights!

    Chris.

Thank you! Just so everyone else knows, the clinic is in Eastleigh, which is about an hour south (?) of London. I'll be staying near the hospital (just being cautious).

Next week i'll be prepping my recovery room back home, following the guidelines on the sticky (can't wait to try out the long grabber!)

A will write up two big posts, one pre-op, and one post-op!

Saw your post on the UK site as well.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on & progress. It's quite a plane journey home but if you can lie flat on a bed seat in first class that's good.

Wishing you all the best & safe travelling.

    Question Mark A few preparations.

I'm almost ready to leave! I've spent this week buying comfortable clothes for my post-op, especially cotton sweat pants and plain Hane's t-shirts. I've also prepped the room with a higher bed, fixed the hard-to-open door to the rest-room, and acquired a reacher/grabber.

The UK hospital has instructed me to run a few pre-op tests with my family doctor:
    -Mid-stream urine
    -MRSA nose
    -MRSA groin

Basically they're testing for infections and possible immunities to antibiotics. The hospital has really been bugging me about the results, which only means these are very important for them.

I'm leaving Sunday October 31st and arriving early Monday November 1st. That same day I have a pre-op assessment in the afternoon and an evening consultation with Mr. Boeree.

    Surgery is Wednesday November 3rd.

By the way, my pain levels have gone down considerably ever since I scheduled the operation. I've gotten the eventual jolt down my leg but it's still very minor. It seems to always happen when I'm in any doctor's office too... "Where does it hurt RIGHT NOW?"... "Uhmmm... Nowhere". Then I get back home and the pains are back. Has this happened to anybody? It seems my nerves know my disc is coming.. Thing is, I can feeel the problem is still there. I can still feel the pain, but it's numbed down by my body. It's a weird feeling.
