Default Update: Adhesion Surgery Post Fusion & Artificial Disc Replacement

I would like to update my outcome. After 3 mths of my adhesion surgery, I have started massage (myofascia massage along with ART) and I can't believe how good I feel. I still have pain BUT it seems to be mainly muscular. I can now stretch without being in bed for 3 days.

The point here is to tell patients post ADR/fusion who suffer that you could be having "Adhesion" problems. I went through HELL for almost 4 yrs!!!!!!

Please feel free to contact me for further info.

Thank you Rose! My adhesions were bothering me really bad post-ADR and I was in a great deal of pain, to the point that I was going to have surgery again. The pain has subsided and now I just get occasional episodes of pain from them, like a tightness and pulling feeling.

I am still looking for a surgeon in my area who uses adhesion barriers, as I don't have the money to travel for the surgery. The surgeon I had found to take them down, did not believe in barriers; but was the ONLY one who I could find to even agree to operate on them. I'm glad that they aren't acting up, so I have time to find someone who can do the surgery.

If I had the money, I would definitely go to Germany and have it done. Katie told me about your experience and sounds like you found dr's who understand the problem and have a good solution for it.

I guess this is the best money I have spent in my life so far on myself as many many Doctors were of the opinion that my "nerves were compressed" and I needed to have a "Decompression" on L4/L5 including opinions from Stenum!!!!! They have come up with the "final" diagnosis of Stenosis.

Thank you Justin, for supporting me on asking Dr. B for a "final" opinion as I was divided between 3 surgeons saying: YES, I do have stenosis and
    2 surgeons saying: NO

Dr. B came up with a CATEGORICAL NO, NO, NO.....

After years of suffering, I don't know what more to say. From the thought of spinal pain to finally ADHESIONS!!!!!...........
Though my pain was from my back, due to very tight muscles/ligaments not properly stretched post ADR.
Because of some existing adhesion during my ALIF, my internal organs got glued.

Being so close to go on "Spinal Cord Stimulator".

Rob Wilson, thank you for giving me the strength to fight hard NOT to accept SCS.

Once again, please, please, review very carefully your decisions.

    Cheers,
    Rose

No problem, Rose. I am so glad that you are doing better and that Dr. Bertagnoli's opinion was helpful.

As always, I'm here to support you in any way possible.

    Hey Rose,

I was just checking in on you. Are you still getting significant relief from your massage therapy? BTW: I received your email and I will give you a call later today.
