Kathleen,

I had a CT Myleogram in 2008. The technician wasn't all that skilled and hit nerve roots trying to place the needle. There wasn't much pain until I was turned over onto my back, then the dye making contact with the fresh nerve punctures hit me. It was a 10 for about 45-60 minutes. It took them a while to give me anything for pain but 2 hours after the procedure I was walking out of the hospital on my own. If you can, take a dose of your prescription pain killer as close to having the dye injected.

I truly believe the discomfort came from a poor aim with the needle as I've had several ESIs with not a fraction of the same problem.

Good luck,

Bob
